The  Stand  Your  Ground  Law  irresponsibly grants  It's  citizens  the right  to  act as assassins in times  of conflict  between  two or  more citizens. One can easily  draw  this  conclusion  by  revisiting   each  case receiving  public observance In  which  the (DA) used -Stand Your Ground As a defense for their client.

 Trayvon  Martin's  case  will  always  be  one of  the most  Important. Evidence that  should  have supported  Zimmermen's  claims of  fearing for  his  life  was  suppressed. Was It because the same evidence instructed  Zimmermen  to end  his  pursuit  Of  Trayvon  proving  Zimmermen  was  always  In  control  Of  the  altercation free  of  any  fear?


The  Intent  Of  (SYGL)  was  to  provide  every citizen with the right  to  protect  their  life using  the correct amount of  force  required. If  A  man  pushes another  man  the  victim of  the push can only use the  same  amount  of  force  used against him.  Using a  gun  against  a shove Is  not  standing your ground  according  to  the  laws  own  requirements. Instead of  enforcing  the following outlined  structure below  as  Intended, American lawmakers do nothing- As Black American's helplessly witness murderers of their love ones  skate away free under  the  pretense of standing their ground.

• The  person  must  have an  honest  and   reasonable  belief  that  the  force  is  necessary.
• The  person  must  believe  that  the  harm  threatened  will be  immediately forthcoming
• The  harm   threatened  must  be  unlawful
• The  force  used  must  be  reasonable  only  as  much  as  appears necessary under the circumstances.

Domestic Violence: After The First Strike

Domestic Violence is a gender neutral crime women and men throughout the U.S.A are experiencing. These women and men  face acts of  brutality, the theft of their identities, torture, and the most fatal consequence-death. 

Abusers posses an extensive  amount of manipulative intelligence. The honeymoon phase is a good  example of manipulative intelligence. This is the phase when gifts,compliments, and affection are in abundance. Domestic predator's will profess their undying love to you, a low tactic used by abusers  to perch themselves in the drivers seat of your life.When abusers become secure enough in a relationship they began to attack you in a subtle way. "Hey that skirt's too tight", "I hate your friends", Shut the hell up! Subtle attacks usually occur before the abuser's become physically abusive. Once the relationship becomes physically abusive, mustering the courage to leave gets harder. This is why leaving after the first strike is so important.

Within seconds of receiving that first devastating blow, a plan of action should be surging threw you're mind-body and soul. Obtaining distance is the goal after that first strike. You need to seek refuge in a place where you're protected,and unable to be contacted by the domestic abuser.  This is where you will take pictures of any injuries, as well as decide weather or not you will involve police. Having a safe haven will remind you of  how happy and free life was before that strike.  Let this inspire you on the journey to eradicate you're domestic abuser indefinitely. Some will say it was only one time, and maybe you should hear them out. Don't make this crucial mistake like other's have, some of these so-called talks ended up fatalities. Continue placing obstacles  between you and the abuser. Change numbers, routines, and end relationships with anyone closely connected to the abuser. If they are not aware of the abuse, a common friend could inform the abuser of your whereabouts. This can derail your entire plan-so cut all connecting ties.

In the end no plan is 100% full proof , however not taking action after the first strike is a fatal mistake.  Not acting encourages domestic abuser's to continue tormenting you. As their dominance over your life grows getting out will appear impossible. The longer you stay death will be inevitable.
